Measuring Instructions for Height (Standing)

GUIDE TO MEASURING YOUR CHILD AND TEEN’S HEIGHT using Length/ Height Measurer.

• Choose a barrier free wall for the child to stand up against. Solid floor surface to reflect ultrasonic measure ( not carpet)
• Hold the measurer perpendicular to the wall, along top of the head. Base flat to the wall. You may choose to have a second person hold  Measurer in position.
  
  
• The child can step away from the wall, with the measurer held straight and fixed in position. Press the recording button.
• After hearing the beep sound remove from wall to read the height measured. Record on your favorite growth chart or the Tracking Growth Matters: LOG App. It is that easy!

Remeasure if accuracy in doubt due to movement/ angle or position /stance related error.

Measuring Instructions for length (Lying)

Measuring Baby’s Length -Lying Position. 2021 Orange model

• Choose a barrier free safe surface or floor space with perpendicular wall (Wall surface must be even and smooth).

• Lie baby gently on their back, head flat against wall •
• Baby should be looking straight up and body straight •
• Gently hold the baby’s knees straight with foot flat, at right angle against measure •
• Ensure the baby is clear of the ultrasonic detector, hold it fixed in position, at a straight right angle  •
• Press the record button to display the length and announcement in numbers •
• Record on your growth chart or the Tracking Growth Matters: LOG app
• Remeasure if accuracy in doubt due to movement, or position  related error.
